THE MIRACLE OF BERN tops the German box-office on its opening weekend.
THE MIRACLE OF BERN fulfilled all of its expectations during its opening weekend at the German cinemas: Soenke Wortmann’s film leapt to the top of the box-office charts with a total of 383,202 admissions. The film was produced by Little Shark Entertainment and Senator Film. Released last Thursday by Senator Film with 411 prints to rave reviews, THE MIRACLE OF BERN achieved an outstandingly high print/admissions ratio of 932. Thanks to the exceptional demand, the number of prints will be increased in the second week to 580. Enthusiastic audience reactions have been reported from the theatres. Despite sunny autumn weather, the superb box-office results from Sunday also indicate that THE MIRACLE OF BERN appeals to family audiences and older viewers and that word-of-mouth recommendations are excellent.
